Kick the New Year off right with our 36th Annual Hair of the Dog Run on January 1, 2018. This long-standing tradition of the YMCA of Greater Spartanburg promises to be a fun event for all - adults, children and, of course, dogs. Breakfast will be served after the run.

36th Annual

  • New Year's Day Run & Breakfast
  • Thomas E. Hannah Family YMCA
  • 1 mile "fun run", 5-mile and 10-mile courses

Event Day

Monday, January 1

  • 8:30 AM -- Registration closes
  • 8:45 AM -- Devotion
  • 8:50 AM -- Runners disperse to start lines
  • 9:15 AM -- Runs begin
  • Post -- Breakfast is served in the Gymnasium

Friday, December 29 4:00 PM-6:30 PM

Saturday, December 30 1:00 PM-5:00 PM

Sunday, December 31 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM 

Participants, please stop by the TEH YMCA this day in advance of the event to receive your runner bag with numbered bib, event t-shirt and freebies. First 50 runners to pick up packets will also get a special gift!
