"Set Sail for Hope"

The purpose of the Partners With Youth campaign is to raise money for outreach in our community so that no one is turned away from YMCA programs or member services due to financial need.  In 2009 alone, the YMCA of Greater Spartanburg provided over $349,000 worth of free or subsidized programs to 2000 individuals in need.  The scholarships that they received allowed them the opportunity to participate in After-School Care, Summer Day Camp, Swim Lessons, Youth Sports and Memberships.  Every   dollar that is contributed goes to Pine Street YMCA scholarships to help someone build a stronger future.  If you gave last year, we thank you.  If you’ve never given, we ask that you think about  making a tremendous difference in someone’s life.  Your support allows young people and their families to make new friends, learn core values, and build self-esteem.  Become a Partner with Youth!

I am glad to have the chance to express my  gratitude for the Partners With Youth   program. Being a participant has removed stress and insecurity in regard to my child.  I am a single parent, and there’s no one that I can rely on to help with transportation for my child.

Thanks to the Partners with Youth program, I’ve been able to continue my career training.  Before I was running around trying to get to class and also care for my children.  Now I know my children are fine.
