YMCA OF GREATER SPARTANBURG SPECIAL EVENTS
At the YMCA of Greater Spartanburg we offer numerous special events for our members and community. We host BBQs and have annual functions like our Partners with Youth Campaign Kick-Off, Healthy Kids Day, YMCA Activate America Program, YMCA Fall Festival, annual races such as "The Hair of the Dog", "The Main Squeeze", "The Sprint Triathlon", kids triathlon, and our annual community prayer breakfast.

The Back to School Run is designed to create community spirit while encouraging active lifestyles for all ages! This run will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010. The 5K race will begin at approximately 7:30 am and the Kid's 1 Mile Fun Run will begin at 8:15 am. Early registration ends on August 7, 2010. The fee for early registration is $18. Late registration is $20. The Kid's 1 Mile Fun Run is $12. (Those who register after August 7, 2010 are not guaranteed a t-shirt.) Late registration and packet pick-up is from 6:30 am until 7:15 am at the Middle Tyger YMCA Member Service Desk. Prizes will be awarded to the overall male and female winner Masters. Awards will be presented to the top two male/female places in each age division. For more information call Angie Putman at 864-433-9623.
