Outdoor Adventures

We believe in playing outdoors, and every year we offer outdoor adventures for Y members who like to travel and experience the great outdoors together.

Our next adventure is a trip to Lake Tahoe, and we have space for one more male and one more female.


Lake Tahoe Trip Information

Trip Dates: Thursday, September 6, 2018 - Wednesday, September 12, 2018

Trip Cost: $500 to the YMCA includes Lodging at the Lake Tahoe rental house and ground transportation to and from the airport and area attractions, hiking, etc. (rental car and gas). Airfare, food, equipment rental, fees for attractions etc. are NOT included in the YMCA trip fee.

Rental House Location: Tahoe City, CA

Thursday, September 6 - Arrive at RNO airport and drive to Tahoe City to check in to rental house.

Friday, September 7 - Hike and/or Kayak and/or Mountain Bike (See hiking trail links & kayak outfitter links below). Optional Dave Matthews Band concert Friday evening.

Saturday, September 8 - Hike and/or kayak. Check in to Tour de Tahoe if you have registered to ride.

Sunday, September 9 - Tour de Tahoe ride. Optional 38 mile ride with boat ride for those who don't want to do the entire 72 miles. Hike or kayak.

Monday, September 10 - Boat tour or tour of Truckee, Virginia City, Carson City

Tuesday, September 11 - Vikingsholm Castle tour and hiking

Wednesday, September 12 - Return to Spartanburg
