Both locally and across the globe, volunteers founded the YMCA. The YMCA of Greater Spartanburg depends on the commitment and dedication of its volunteers to assist in the successful propagation of our mission.

• Education Committee - the Middle Tyger YMCA and the Thomas E. Hannah Family YMCA are both forming education committees to evaluate current youth programming for opportunities to offer academic enrichment to enhance school readiness for preschool children, academic achievement for school age children, and college readiness for high school students.
