Youth Camps

Thank you for choosing the YMCA of Greater Spartanburg Day Camp program. YMCA's are among the nation's top leaders in providing child care. Our goal is to provide a safe, positive, Christian environment where children may achieve their greatest God-given potential. Our focus is to provide a positive growth experience, recognizing each individual's needs and abilities and to provide activities and experiences that develop and support the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility.

Summer Day Camp

The YMCA of Greater Spartanburg Summer Day Camp is led by dedicated and loving staff who provide theme-based weeks full of stimulating hands-on activities. Kids spend time both indoors and outdoors enjoying literacy-based crafts, songs, games, and field trips that will stimulate their minds, keep their bodies healthy, and help them form lifelong friendships with one another. Whether you choose the half-day or full-day option or one of our specialty or sports camps, your child will enjoy a fun and exciting experience all summer long.  Weekly field trips are included in all prices! A limited number of scholarships are available, and the number of participants is limited based on space availability.

Times

Full Day Camp Hours: 9:00 am until 4:00 pm
Specialty Half Day Camp Hours: 9:00 am until 12:00 pm
Drop off and pick up between 7:00 am-9:00 am and 4:00 pm-6:00 pm

6-7 years "PIONEERS"
8-9 years "TRAILBLAZERS"
10-12 years "PRE-TEENS"
13-15 years Counselors in Training "CIT"

Camp Impact

At the YMCA of Greater Spartanburg, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive at summer camp; therefore, no one is turned away due to physical or mental disability. Your special needs child is welcome to participate in all of our day and specialty camps. Please contact Jason Fields at the Thomas E. Camp Impact will be offered at the Middle Tyger YMCA July 1-5 (closed July 4) and August 5-9.

Specialty and Sports Camps

Half day Specialty and Sports Camps are offered concurrently with our regular day camp from 9:00am -  Noon. Campers can choose only the half-day option or continue in traditional day camp from 12:00 until 4:00 and stay for full-day fun!  Buses leave for all sports/specialty camps at 8:30AM.
