Run Club at the Thomas E. Hannah Family YMCA
PURPOSE:
- In honor of our 40th Anniversary HOD Run, we created a Run Club! Attendees will move at their own pace so the doors are open for beginners all the way to advanced.
WHAT YOU’LL RUN AWAY WITH:
- Begin running for the very first time or improve running goals and times
- Strong body awareness and running posture
- Fun game run plays
- Education about running , cross/interval training, breathing techniques, and heart rate
- Insight on improving fitness
- A social community network of Y members & staff
- The importance of stretching and how to implement stretches at home or on the go
- Tips and tricks from lead instructors
- A support group to answer questions and share fitness experiences
- Different running courses and local marathon/running activities
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Weather appropriate clothes/shoes
- Comfortable pair of running/walking shoes
- Reflective gear/clothes for dark/foggy days
- If it rains, we will go upstairs so keep your shoes tied!
- Water bottle
