Certifications
We offer the following certifications.
Lifeguard Certifications (American Red Cross)
Lifeguard Re-Certifications (American Red Cross)
CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications (Adult and Pediatric)
Oxygen Certification
American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers
This is a blended learning class. You will have approximately 1-2 weeks to complete the online portion of the class and then you will come into the Y to do skills and final written exam.
Upon successful completion of the class you will receive a two-year American Red Cross certification.
Class is held in the Community Room or old spin room at 5:30 pm if a weekday class, 8am if Saturday class.
This class is free to staff members of the YMCA of Greater Spartanburg.

Lifeguard Re-Cert
Requirements:
- Must present American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
- Lifeguard Certification must be less than 30 days past expiration date
- Deep water portions to be held at separate facility.
