Diabetes Awareness

DID YOU KNOW?!?!

“More than 37 million people in the United States have diabetes, and 1 in 5 of them don’t know they have it. 96 million US adults—over a third—have prediabetes, and more than 8 in 10 of them don’t know they have it. Diabetes is the 7th leading cause of death in the United States (and may be underreported).” https://www.cdc.gov

Join us on October 22nd at 12pm to learn more about how to stay healthy with diabetes. We will provide tips on how to stay well with diabetes, as well as diabetes prevention tips for people with prediabetes or a family history of diabetes.

Talk is hosted by Erica Moore, MHS, RDN, CDCES, BC-ADM from Spartanburg Regional Healthcare Systems. Erica Moore is a registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist. Erica loves helping people with diabetes stay well through a healthy lifestyle. She is Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management and has been partnering with people with diabetes since 1997.
