Light & Legacy Community Event
On October 24th from 5-7:30pm, we are hosting our 2nd annual Light & Legacy Community Event featuring live music, food, raffles, yard games, bounce houses, and more. We will also recognize our Livestrong at the YMCA alumni with a tree-planting ceremony and remember the legacy of those who have passed with a memorial luminary walk.
Tentative Schedule:
5:00pm Come fellowship & enjoy food trucks, vendors, games, & live music!
6:00pm Special LiveSTRONG Alumni Celebration
6:45pm Win some raffle prizes!
7:15pm Honor those we’ve lost with our Memorial Luminary walk.
7:30pm Event ends

Donation
If you’re unable to participate in our upcoming fundraising event—or prefer to support without purchasing a luminary or tickets—you can still contribute. Your donation goes directly to our Livestrong at YMCA cancer support programs, helping more cancer survivors reclaim their health, strength, and confidence. Every gift moves a survivor forward on their journey.

Luminaries
See your loved one’s ‘name in light’ when you purchase a luminary for the Light of Legacy Community Event. A luminary memorializes your loved one while inspiring others through their own journey. Your luminary will light a path for survivors and family who have experienced the difficult path cancer has brought into their lives.
Pre-order ends on October 19th, but you can purchase luminaries at the event.
Sponsorship
Light the Way Sponsor – $500
As a “Light the Way” Sponsor, your organization will receive recognition on our facility marketing displays for six months, recognition across YMCA of Greater Spartanburg social media channels, and the dedication of an honorary luminary in your organization’s name. Please email your company logo to [email protected] no later than October 19, 2026.
Leave a Legacy Vendor Sponsor – $100
As a “Leave a Legacy” Vendor Sponsor, your support will be recognized with a yard sign displayed on the day of the event, dedicated vendor space, and an honorary luminary in your organization’s name.
